Go Dawgs!

1986 1986_ () 1986 1986

Just a reminder that I will be in Athens, Georgia this Thursday for Homecoming events at Grady College of Journalism. Festivities start at 4 p.m. Be there or be square (but only if you can swing it, dawg).
Posting will be light this week because a) I’m a little preoccupied with the whole Alma-mater-book-reading soiree and b) I’m trying to figure out something suitable to wear. Here are a few options:

(me on right, Paul in borrowed Mascot costume on left?)

(This might be a nice option if the room is chilly, real cozy-like, yes?)

For Isabel (who will also be in tow) I can’t decide between these two:

(classy option)

(totally awesome, y’all!)

Anyway, tune in tomorrow when I will have a book giveaway! Are you familiar with Tony Woodlief? You should be. He’s quite a fine writer and the dad of a bunch of boys. He also just published his first book and we are doing a cross-blog book tour this week. Details to follow.

  1. Amanda M. says:

I LOVE the smocked bishops dress for Isabel. 🙂

  2. I have an old UGA majorette uniform you can borrow. The boots too.
Seriously though, you can't go wrong with a little black dress and red accessories.

I love the first option for Isabel.

  3. Elizabeth M says:

Have fun! My cousin's daughter had a mini-cheerleading outfit just like that — her dad is an alum too!

  4. Ecce Quam Bonam says:

Take both. Decide when you see what the crowd looks like.

Put her in the first for the book signing and change her into the second to walk around the campus, reminiscing.

  5. southernjoy says:

Oooh, I missed this. Always go with the smocking!
