See this glove Charlie is wearing? The one with the talons and spears? Charlie created and formed this thing of beauty and he has this feeling that there are hordes of others out there who would pay good money for this very weapon. See how handy it is? You never know when you’re going to need something like this and with Charlie’s revolutionary (patent pending) design you are ready for battle at a moment’s notice.
Augie is contemplating how to expand on that model.
Summer is upon us and we’ve been doing lots of celebrating. This weekend, three men from our community were ordained deacons — one permanent deacon and two transitional deacons. Those two are boys who grew up here who are now in seminary and will be ordained next June. The permanent deacon is a man who joined the community as an adult. He belongs to the same parish as Paul and me, and our boys served the altar for his first Mass this past Sunday.
The evening before, there was a dinner in one of the common backyard areas to celebrate the ordination earlier that day. It was just beautiful.

I wil be sure to keep my boys’ prying eyes away from this post otherwise they’ll have me buying them one of those gloves.
Peace to you!
I too agree that there is a market for such an item. I will also never let my boys see this pic.
We grilled out on Monday and I knew that all the skewers – used and unused had to be sent to a galazy far, far away prior to my own precious monkey’s getting their imaginative little hands on them.
